    We are heading into the home stretch for this HFMA year and what a year it has been to be in
    healthcare finance. No one said that this career path was going to be a walk in the park, and this year helped reinforce that! Most have survived the Great Recession and are working towards a strong recovery in their institutions.

    In our stressful world of RACs, MACs, MS DRGs, and so on, it is really nice to have a local resource to provide support and education for the many hospital financial management challenges that we face daily. I love being able to call one of my friends at another hospital to ask how they are handling a certain issue, and I don?t know that I would have built those relationships
    without the networking that Arkansas HFMA provides.

    HFMA's April Meeting was a tremendous success, with incredible educational sessions and engaging networking opportunities. We also had record breaking attendance for this two day event! Thanks to everyone who attended and worked for our Chapter.

    The April 2009 meeting will be the last quarterly
    meeting of the 2008-2009 HFMA fiscal year. I would
    like to begin by thanking the slate of officers and volunteers who continuously give outstanding effort in order to ensure our chapter?s success. Many will be returning in various leadership roles, along with several new volunteers. Our chapter has always been strong, thanks to dedicated members like you, and we plan to

    Over the past few months, I have strived to meet and exceed all requirements of HFMA - on both a National and State level. I have been shielded with resources and support as our leadership team has submitted various reports, planned educational events and attended meetings.
